The summer before moving to California, I was working at Café Mangal, a sophisticated yet cozy Turkish restaurant in the heart of Wellesley, MA. It was beautiful inside, and still is! (I popped in for lunch over our last east coast trip). Decorated with all kinds of embellished tapestries and jewelry, I fell in love instantly. But when I laid my eyes on their Turkish towels, it was game over. I had to have them all and used most of my paychecks to support my new addiction… Really, how can you not appreciate a good Turkish towel?
I just love how they look in the home. Even if you don’t actually use them, Turkish towels can be a great textural detail, adding that boho modern vibe to any space.
I also love this idea of using a long, neutral Turkish towel as a curtain or wall hanging. So simple and light!
