Baby Fisher’s nursery reveal inspired me to continue with a home tour series. Next up is our bedroom: cozy, calm and TV-free.
Since this space is on the smaller side, I went with light and airy all the way. White on white reflects the great light that pours in from our floor-to-ceiling windows and subtle neutral tones add a mellow vibe, which I believe is key in a room that is all about rest and relaxation.
I found these little reading lamps at Ikea – I love the copper and they’re the perfect scale for our narrow nightstands.
This Anthropologie dish was one of my favorite wedding gifts from a friend. Sadly, my wedding rings will reside here until the swelling in my hands goes down :( Hopefully soon after baby arrives – I feel so naked without them!
I shot the photo above our bed at Sunset Cliffs and had it printed through Canvas World – super simple with a quick turnaround.
I love rugs but unfortunately don’t have the hardwood floors that live in my dreams, so I hung this cute find from World Market in the entry way of our bedroom, across from the closet. (And I promise to properly pot my little plant pet someday…)
Our bedroom feels quiet and serene, but my favorite part is the bed itself. We bought a new mattress the day we moved into this apartment and it’s only become more and more comfortable. Is there anything better than brand new bedding? A fresh white down comforter with crisp, clean sheets and fluffy new pillows – sometimes that’s all you really need to be happy.
