If I didn’t already have such a busy year ahead, I would definitely make time for a weekend in New York City. Ryan’s never been and that’s hard for me to imagine even though I’ve only visited a few times myself. All I know is that NYC leaves an impression on you that lasts forever. It’s another animal. Grit and glamour.
My very first experience in New York was actually a class trip in 5th grade – I was only 11 and don’t remember much more than the 5 hour bus ride. But a few years later, I went with one of my best girlfriends and her parents. We were still only tweens then but old enough to see why this city was so famous. I left infatuated with Broadway, the amazing restaurants, the melting pot of cultures, and of course, the living, breathing world of fashion. That same friend moved to Manhattan as soon as she possibly could and I love having her there as an excuse to visit today.
Now as an adult, I can appreciate New York on a different level and I’m inspired by something new every time I travel through. The fast-paced lifestyle is both so attractive and intimidating to me, making the people-watching that much more interesting. I’m dying to bring my camera next time and can’t wait to introduce Ryan.
If money were no object, I’d put us up in a posh penthouse like this. What do you think? Wanna go?

So I’m obsessed with this. I’m thinking that going back to NYC now, I would probably appreciate it a lot more than when I went as a child. If I could live somewhere as beautiful as this penthouse, I would in a heartbeat!
I think I’d move into this penthouse even if it was in the middle of nowhere. But NYC would definitely a plus ;)
