Ever since I started keeping low-maintenance plants like pothos, my murder count has dropped down to zero. I basically just picked a day to water them once a week and they’re fine 😂 .

But plants aren’t just pretty to look at - they offer so many health bennies that everyone should take advantage of, especially in new wfh situations. Here are a few: + plants increase concentration and memory + purify the air + improve energy and generate happiness + reduce stress and anxiety + accelerate the healing process

It’s Monday (I think) and we’re knee-deep in this thing. I know that what was once your cozy home is now a sh*tstorm because we are all in the same boat here 😅 I am only able to keep my head above water because of all the tried and true time-saving hacks I’ve collected over the years.

Right??? 🙈 .

Just over here eating all the carbs, counting down to bedtime, and watching everything virus-related after dark. Here are my faves so far: Contagion, Outbreak, The Hot Zone, and Pandemic. We also watched Children of Men last night, which isn’t really about a virus, but we’ve decided to just open up the theme to apocalyptic, end of the world type movies. Anyone else strangely obsessed with this topic rn? Have any recs?! 🙊

I know I talk a lot about the amount of things we keep in our home, but I also want to touch on the kinds of things we choose to keep. .

For example, I wouldn’t say my house is streamlined to the max, but because I stick to a similar color palette, each room seems to flow into the next without too many distractions. .

I find neutral tones to be the most calming and comforting, so if I’m ever looking to add anything to my home, whether it’s furniture or decor, I tend to go for lighter colors and natural elements, like wood and rattan which help to add warmth to an otherwise blank slate. This way everything just works together without giving it much thought. I also love layering different textures and taking natural light into consideration. .

So while it’s important to keep clutter somewhat under control, the combination of color, textural interest, and access to natural light all play significant roles in creating a cohesive, bright and airy space. .

Do you stress clean? I do 🙋🏼‍♀️ When things are out of my control, cleaning and organizing keeps my hands busy and brings me back down to earth. .

Today was one of those days where file folding my clothes gave me a sense of calm and order. It’s not about perfection, but keeping things simple, clear, easy to find. .

So are you completely horrified every time you empty out your Roomba filter (or is our house just extra gross)?! 😳 I usually turn it on as I’m leaving the house for the day, but that hasn’t been the case lately, so... .

Sidenote: these two have been getting so close. I’m not sure if it’s because Bryn’s older now and Obi feels like he can trust her (ie. she doesn’t try to pull his tail off anymore) or because having us all home, snuggling on the couch most of the day, is Obi’s ultimate life DREAM 🥰
